Willie and Ian are pleased to announce that the 35th Rockers Reunion piss up will take place at Rivermead Leisure Complex, Richfield Avenue, Reading on:
Saturday 20th January 2018 from 5pm to 1am
Starring from Philadelphia PA., the man who is the heir to the Rock 'n' Roll throne, peforming a selection of his father's classic hits including 'Rock Around The Clock', 'Shake, Rattle and Roll' and 'See You Later Alligator'
BILL HALEY JR.
Only Bill's third live appearance in the UK - and a Rockers' Reunion debut. He is a knockout performer and will sing the very best of his legendary father's greatest recordings such as 'Rock The Joint', 'Real Rock Drive', 'Saints Rock 'n' Roll' and many more.
Johnny Fox and the Hunters are back very much by popular demand and will keep the joint jumping while Race With The Devil have a special tribute to the great Gene Vincent which we know you will enjoy
We try and include a healthy dose of British Rock 'n' Roll every year and this comes courtesy of The Fantoms who are long overdue to play Rockers' Reunion. We open the show with The Sun-Rayz who are newcomers and will be eager to prove that they shine the brightest of all the bands in Essex.
Who else would you expect to close our show but those Welsh teddy boys Crazy Cavan and the Rhythm Rockers who will deliver a thoughtful, soothing and appropriate climax to the evening.
The resident DJs will be Pete Bruce and Wild Cat Pete.
MCs for the evening are Stu Wild Wax and Steve Stack Of Wax.
Tickets are now on sale - for £30 on the door only!
Band and stall enquiries should directed to Wild Willie Jeffery or Varick Jeffery on 01883 714289.
All your favourite stalls will be in attendance, so if you need Fifties clothes, DVD's, records, tee shirts, badges or even a new tattoo, there will be plenty to keep you occupied. Our friends from the 59 Club will be in their usual spot near to the bar!
We like things to stay the same. Too often changes are made for no reason but that is why you can always rely on Rockers' Reunion. Every January for 35 years we have dusted ourselves down, drawn a mark in the sand and got the old gang back together again. The same DJs, the same comperes, the same lyal band of helpers and pretty much the same stall holders. If not always the same bands then at least the same great rock 'n' roll music that has never been improved upon since it first changed the world back in the 1950s.
So you know what to do, because 20th January 2018 is fast approaching. Get yourself to the Rivermead for a guaranteed fun evening of booze, music and great company. Put aside your troubles, you know what to expect for it is sure to be
THE PISS UP OF THE YEAR
